The Ralph D. Small Math Award is a $5000 scholarship to a graduating senior at Westbrook High School. The winner is chosen by the faculty and is intended to honor achievement in Mathematics.

 2021 Scholarship Recipient
 

Jackson Thayer-will be attending Northeastern University to study Civil Engineering. Jackson is the Valedictorian of the Class of 2021. He is the treasurer of his class, a member of the Key Club, Teen Trendsetters, National Honor Society and earned a STEM-endorsed diploma.

He took precalculus over the summer to accelerate his studies.  He was the highest-scoring member of the WHS math team in 10th - 12th grade and was awarded a medal for his high scores all 4 years, qualifying for the National math meet as well.  He was captain of the math team for three years and helped dozens of his peers become stronger in math as well.
